Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This policy explains how Mou Consulting Limited ("MouCFO", company number 13092399, ICO registration ZC142893) uses cookies and similar technologies on the MouCFO websites and application. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. We use cookies in accordance with the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage and pixel tags. Where we refer to "cookies" below, we mean all of these.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary — required to run the Service (authentication session tokens, CSRF protection, load balancing, cookie-consent preference itself). Cannot be disabled; the Service will not function without them. Legal basis: legitimate interest / necessary for the service you request.
Preferences — remember your theme, currency, entity selection and last-viewed page to improve usability. Set only after you accept preference cookies.
Analytics — aggregated, pseudonymised usage statistics (pages viewed, feature usage, error rates) via privacy-friendly analytics. Set only with your consent, and you can withdraw at any time. We do not use these for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Marketing / advertising — we do not use advertising or cross-context behavioural tracking cookies.
3. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties we rely on to deliver the Service: Stripe (payments and fraud prevention on billing pages), Cloudflare (bot mitigation and DDoS protection), Cal.com (booking widget on the pricing page, loaded only when you interact), and Arcade (interactive product demo embed). Their use of cookies is governed by their own policies.
4. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies we set expire between 30 days (preferences) and 12 months (consent record). Third-party cookies follow the durations set by their providers.
5. Managing your choices
You can accept, reject or change non-essential cookies at any time using the cookie banner or via "Cookie settings" in the site footer. You can also clear or block cookies via your browser settings — most browsers let you refuse all cookies, refuse third-party cookies only, or delete cookies on exit. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and prevent the Service from working.
6. Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where sent by your browser and treat it as an opt-out of non-essential cookies.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the cookie banner or by email.
